Redesign Of Rustaq City Gate

Location: Al Batinah, Oman.
Date: January 2022.

The project aimed to encourage tourism and leisure activities and included various facilities such as shops, cafes, seating areas, service facilities, kiosks, and an open space that could be used as an exhibition for entertainment activities. The centerpiece of the project was a two-story café that offered visitors a unique and stunning view of the surrounding mountains and desert.

The creation process involved a design competition for the best design for the Rustaq Gate project, organized by the Al Batinah South Governorate Municipality in January 2022. The competition was open to architectural firms and designers who submitted their design proposals for the project.

The winning design was chosen based on the creativity, innovation, and sustainability of the proposal, as well as its ability to reflect the significance and beauty of the desert and the surrounding mountains. The design incorporated natural elements such as rocks and scenes, which were seamlessly integrated into the architectural design to create a visually stunning and functional space.

The Rustaq Gate Design Competition project was a testament to the creativity and innovation of the architectural community, as well as the commitment of the Al Batinah South Governorate Municipality to promoting tourism and leisure activities in the region. The project's location in Rustaq, Al Batinah South Governorate, Sultanate of Oman, provided a unique and stunning backdrop for the project, which reflected the beauty and significance of the surrounding natural environment.
